Kim is the Director of Technology in the Washington USD in West Sacramento, CA, and has more than 12 years of experience leading professional development focused on using technology tools to engage students in meaningful and purposeful ways. A CUE member since 1998, Kim’s work with CUE began in 2007 as an officer of the CapCUE board where she has served as both President and Vice President. Kim chaired the Fall CUE Conference Planning committee and served as the committee’s first Speaker Chair.
With over 20 years in education, Kim is passionate about purposeful technology use in the classroom and its impact on the lives of our students and communities. This commitment to students is communicated in the work that she does on behalf of CUE and Washington Unified. Finally, Kim is a Google Certified Innovator, Leading Edge Certified Educator, LEC Online and Blended Teacher and Professional Learning Leader, CUE Rock Star Faculty, member of the CTA /Stanford SCOPE & NRBC Instructional Leadership Corps (ILC) member, 2016 CETPA CTO Candidate, and was honored in 2014 with the CUE Gold Disk award. These roles provide opportunities to share her commitment to effective technology integration for students and teachers.
